Сенс життя як філософська проблема

Анотація: This discipline is devoted to a key question in every person's life: "What is the meaning of life?" It is both an intellectual challenge and a personal journey. We will explore whether the meaning of life requires an absolute foundation, or whether a person is capable of being a source of meaning for themselves. We will reflect on freedom, suffering, loss, death, and identity crisis as challenges without which the question of meaning does not arise. We will consider whether meaning is universal or is born anew each time, and whether love, responsibility, and care can give life depth. This discipline does not provide a single answer, but offers different options. Getting to know them will help you better understand yourself, the world, and the values that give life a meaning. This is especially relevant in the times of crisis in which we live. Through philosophy, psychology, culture, and contemporary case studies, the discipline teaches you to think critically, question, ask bold questions, form your own worldview, and express it publicly.

Результати навчання: PRN-4. Analyze and comment on literature concerning philosophical, religious, sociocultural, and general humanitarian issues.
PRN-15. Have the skills to conduct intellectual discussions based on dialogue, openness, and tolerance.
PRN-16. Be able to apply general humanitarian and philosophical knowledge in various spheres of life.
PRN-18. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify, and systematize it.

Зміст дисципліни: Introduction. Does the meaning of life require an absolute foundation, or is a person sufficient unto themselves? Is the meaning of life something open-ended, or does it need to be created? Can we talk about the meaning of life outside the experience of suffering, loss, and death? Does freedom make life meaningful, or does it, on the contrary, deprive it of its foundation? Is the meaning of life universal, or does each era reinvent it? Is a meaningful life possible without a stable identity? Can love, responsibility, and care be a source of meaning? Conclusions. Is the question of the meaning of life a problem, or a necessary condition of humanity?
