Stipends for the ATO Veterans to Study at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

The idea of creating special stipends for the ATO veterans willing to study at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy appeared during the Charity Fair 2018 organized by the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of America.

The initiative came from social activist Liubov Shypovych and its realization was started by her organization RAZOM (lit. “together”) in cooperation with Mariia Berlins’ka – famous volunteer, producer of the documentary about women in ATO entitled The Invisible Battalion, and two representatives of the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of AmericaMarta Farion and Victoria Cooper; in time the President of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Prof. Andrii Meleshevych joined in.

The project aims at giving the young Ukrainians who served at the defense of their Motherland in the front an opportunity to receive higher education in one of the best national universities. For this year’s admission campaign five stipends are going to be given to the veterans who entered any Master Program of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. This requires ten thousand dollars seven of which are already collected by charity donors from Ukraine and USA.
