Insurance and financial support for students

Insurance is done at the discretion of students individually. The students enrolled under the state budget quotas and who successfully pass the term examination control, provided they have appropriate ratings, receive a monthly scholarship. At present, the scholarship is equal to: UAH 530.00 – regular scholarship and UAH 590.00 – an increased scholarship.

In order to improve living standards and stimulate for success in education, participation in social, sporting and research activities, the 10 per cent of the funds provided for payment of scholarships are used by the NaUKMA to offer to the students and post-graduate students who study under state budget quotas.

For special achievements in education, research and creative work and the activities aimed at the restoration of Ukrainian statehood, spirituality, science, and culture, the students can be awarded registered and personal grants. These are grants named after outstanding scientists, scholarships of President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and others.

If necessary, students can get a one-time financial aid. The students who demonstrate outstanding results in teaching, social work or sports can get special bonuses.
