General registration procedures

І. General Regulations

  1. The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy invites applications for admission to Bachelor programs, in specialties according to the University’s license, on the basis of completed secondary education.
  2. Applicants may be citizens of Ukraine, foreign citizens or persons with no citizenship who stay in Ukraine legally, have completed necessary education, and express the desire to obtain higher education. Permanent residents of Ukraine – foreign citizens or persons with no citizenship – as well as refugees can enter higher educational institutions on the same grounds as citizens of Ukraine.
  3. Admission to all NaUKMA programs is granted on a competitive basis.

 


ІІ. Requirements of the Applicants’ Education

  1. Applicants to Bachelor programs are to have completed general secondary education.
  2. 2.2 Foreign citizens or persons with no citizenship are admitted according to the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Persons with no Citizenship” (with amendments); the Presidential Decrees #112 issued on March 25, 1994 “On Measures to Develop the Economic Partnership between Regions of Ukraine and Neighboring Trans-border Regions of the Russian Federation” and #271 issued on June 3, 1994 “On Measures to Develop the Economic Partnership between Regions of Ukraine and Neighboring Trans-border Regions of the Republic of Belarus and administrative territorial divisions of the Republic of Moldova”; the Parliament Acts #136 issued on February 26, 1993 “On the Education of Foreign Citizens in Ukraine” (with amendments) and #1238 issued on August 5, 1998 “On the Approval of the Provision for the Admission of Foreigners and Persons with no Citizenship to Higher Educational Institutions.”


Foreign citizens who receive state scholarships on the basis of international agreements, national programs or international obligations of Ukraine are admitted through referrals of the Ministry of Education and Science; a predefined number of positions are available.

16.2. Foreign citizens of the Ukrainian descent who apply through referrals of Ukrainian cultural societies and wish to study such specialties as “humanities”, “journalism and media”, “social and political studies” have the same educational rights as the citizens of Ukraine, including the opportunity to apply for state-financed education. The entrance requirements for them are exactly the same as for the citizens of Ukraine.
