"New law could breathe life into higher education"

In a new record in his blog at the University World News, Serhiy Kvit writes about dropping standard of secondary education, growing centralisation in the national education field, brain drain and education financing issues.



According to the NaUKMA President, lack of strategy causes ineffectiveness of government’s attempts to introduce reforms. “Action on even the most important of local issues does not make sense before a national education policy has been formulated. First we need to look at the whole picture and understand what results we are aiming for. Only then can we choose the tools we need to achieve those objectives”, Serhiy Kvit states.
