“Manifestations of Antisemitism in Ukraine: Dynamics and Context”


What kinds of manifestations of antisemitism are recorded in contemporary Ukraine? What dynamics is observed during the last 15 years? What is the situation in Ukraine compared to other countries? What versions of antisemitic ideology cause the hate crimes? Who has such views? Why and how the monitoring of antisemitism had become a part of the information confrontation recently?

 

Vyacheslav Likhachev is an Israeli political scientist and researcher who frequently comments on xenophobia and radical right movements, head of the National Minority Rights Monitoring Group. He is the author of numerous books, surveys and reports including “Right-Wing Extremism in Ukraine: The Phenomenon of Svoboda” (2013), “Political Antisemitism in Post-Soviet Russia” (2003) and “Nazism in Russia” (2002, in Russian).
