The Kyiv-Mohyla Student Theater Received a Prestigious Award

The Kyiv-Mohyla Student Theater headed and directed by Tetiana Shuran took part in the Second Ukrainian Amateur Theaters Festival supported by the National Association of Theaters of Ukraine.

The jury consisted of the leading Ukrainian directors, actors, choreographers and theater critics. During the two day of the Festival they have watched more than a thousand actors from 35 cities performing 80+ plays.

Our Student Theater showed a rather fresh play – Don’t look back! They worked it out a year ago based on an essay by the Kyiv-Mohyla alumna Halyna Tkachuk called A Thousand Little Pieces. The screen adaptation made by the whole troupe of the Student Theater is a burlesque that plays on the balance of irony and satire with a bit of sad romance.

The performance of our Theater on the Festival was very successful – they received an award for the high level of acting and directing, and a lot of positive reviews.
