NaUKMA Alumna Oksana Markarova is appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States

Oksana Markarova, NaUKMA alumna in Environmental Studies, classes of 1997 and 1999, was appointed to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States on 25 February 2021.

Since June 2018, Olsana Markarova was serving as acting Minister of Finance of Ukraine and from November 2018 until March 2020 - Minister of Finance of Ukraine. 

Since 2018 until now, Oksana Markarova is a member of the NaUKMA Supervisory Board. Being a member of the NaUKMA Trust Board (2007-2015), she established Dmytro Malyuchenko Fund to support NaUKMA in serious and critical medical condition. 

In 2017 Oksana Markarova was awarded Petro Mohyla Medal in recognition of her contribution to the Alma Mater development and preservation of the national architectural heritage, in particular of the Old Academic Building of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
