Dr. Oleksandra Humenna is appointed as NaUKMA Acting President

On 6 April 2021 by the Order of the Ministry of Education of Science of Ukraine Dr. Oleksandra Humenna is appointed as Acting President of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Dr. Oleksandra Humenna, PhD in Economics, Dean of the NaUKMA Faculty of Economics will serve as NaUKMA acting president through the date the candidacy of the NaUKMA president, elected according to the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, is confirmed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, but not later than 20 September 2021.
Before Dr. Oleksandra Humenna’s appointment the duties of the NaUKMA acting president were performed by Dr. Tetiana Yaroshenko, PhD in History, NaUKMA Vice-President for Research and IT.
As none of the candidates, running for the NaUKMA presidency at the latest NaUKMA Presidential elections of 18 March (1st round) and 25 March 2021 (2nd round), got the required by the Ukrainian legislation minimum number of votes, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced the new elections to be held on 16 September 2021.
